Hi there,

Nothing makes me happier than helping my clients feel better about themselves!

I have been in my private practice since 2009, helping women overcome fears, phobias, dysfunctional thoughts and beliefs and to feel better in their own skin. Through a combination of my specialities - clinical hypnotherapy, EFT and coaching -  I help to ease the emotional pain of anxiety, right through to empowering my clients to create bigger, better lives for themselves.

The women I work with range in age from 16 - 60+, and naturally, I bring a feminist perspective to our work together. Open, honest collaboration between us really helps my clients achieve the calm, confident, successful outcome they are looking for, and perhaps haven't found with conventional psychological help.

I'm not a nod-and-smile type of therapist. You'll find that I will swear when appropriate, laugh, wear jeans sometimes, and, if you are lucky, my little old cat Bella will be sleeping in the cupboard in my home office.

My clients appreciate that I offer a ton of support and make them feel safe in our sessions, yet don’t shy away from giving direct feedback and ideas, or challenging a thought or belief that might be getting in the way of progress. I’ll provide tools and strategies as needed, and perhaps a book recommendation… or two. I also include your personalised hypnotherapy recordings and EFT instructions so you can really make progress.

I know your time and money is valuable so I try to be as structured and goal-oriented as possible.

Me?

I can't remember a time when I wasn't curious about how we work, what makes us tick. When I was younger, I devoured every new self-help book that came along, but never quite found anything that made any real difference to how I was actually feeling (turns out it was anxiety). I could understand the concepts of the various therapies, but actually applying them long term to my life seemed impossible.

Unsurprisingly, I was drawn to study counselling, and various other therapies, both to learn about myself and how to help others. To be honest, I'm a bit of a study junkie. I love learning about how to be happier, healthier and more productive in life. How to change habits, how to re-invent life, step by step, life hacks.

In my spare time, I'm an avid second-hand shopper (circular-economy is the way forward!), love a crisp rosé, enjoy helping my friends overhaul their wardrobes, do my 10k steps pretty much every day, and have just become a Nan (OMG).
